Ranging from the roads along the Carquinez Strait in the north to Fremont in the south, and as far a Brentwood and Livermore in the east and San Francisco Bay in the west, the East Bay has abundant route choices for cyclists of all levels. Carefully planned ride descriptions, route directions, maps, and elevation profiles are provided to help preview each ride. |

| This second edition of East Bay Bike Trails includes 31 separate ride routes, many of them totally new or modified from rides previously presented in the first edition. Mountain biking is covered too, with 7 rides in some of the best places for trail riding in the East Bay. The routes selected will satisfy cyclists of all abilities, as the distances range from 5 miles to 50 miles and the terrain from completely flat to very hilly. |
